Admissions Journey: What to Expect

We’ve designed a thoughtful and personal admissions process to help you discern if CCS is the right fit for your family.

  • Schedule a Tour: Visit one of our three campuses and see our classrooms in action. Our student ambassadors and admissions team will walk you through our spaces and answer your questions.

  • Attend an Open House or Preview Day: These events offer a dynamic way to engage with staff, students, and families while getting a feel for our school culture.

2. Connect with Admissions

  • After your initial inquiry, a member of our admissions team will reach out to learn more about your family and guide you through the next steps.

  • You can always reach us directly at admissions@chicagochristian.org or 708-634-1091.

3. Apply

  • Submit an online application and provide supporting materials, such as transcripts, references, and a pastoral recommendation.

  • Our team and administration will review your application and supporting materials promptly and follow up to schedule a family conversation.

4. Family Conversation & Visit

  • We value relationships. The family conversation is a chance for us to get to know you and for you to hear more about our mission and vision. This will be led by a campus principal.

  • Students are also invited to participate in our Student Shadow Program, where they’ll be paired with a host student and experience a day in the life at CCS.

5. Enrollment Decision & Onboarding

  • Once accepted, families receive information with details for enrollment, orientation, and next steps.

  • Our Admissions Team and Campus Staff will connect you to key resources, introduce you to the community, and prepare you for a strong start at CCS.

  • Do you offer financial assistance?

Yes. We are committed to making Christian education accessible. Financial aid is available for K–12 families through a needs-based application process. Details are provided after applying for admission.
  • When can I apply for admission?

Our application opens each fall for the following school year. We accept applications on a rolling basis as space allows. We recommend applying early, as some grades fill quickly.
  • What grade levels does CCS serve?

Chicago Christian Schools serves students in Preschool through 12th Grade across three campuses:
    • Preschool-8th Grade at our Tinley Park campus (17171 S. 84th Ave, Tinley Park, IL )
    • Preschool -8th Grade at our Oak Lawn campus (10110 S. Central Ave, Oak Lawn, IL
    • 9th-12th Grade at Chicago Christian High School (12001 S Oak Park Ave, Palos Heights, IL)

  • Can my child visit CCS before enrolling?

Absolutely! Our Student Shadow Program lets prospective students experience a full school day alongside a current CCS student. It’s a great way to get a feel for our school culture, classrooms, and community.
  • Are there academic requirements for admission?

We welcome students with a range of academic abilities, but we want to ensure the best fit. A student’s report cards, standardized testing, and teacher recommendations help us assess readiness for success at CCS. Our high school includes college-prep academics with AP and dual credit opportunities.
  • Does my child have to be Christian to attend CCS?

While we welcome families from a variety of Christian traditions, CCS is a covenant-driven Christian school. At least one parent or guardian must agree with and support our Statement of Faith and be actively engaged in a local church community. Students participate in Bible classes, chapel, and spiritual life activities as part of their daily experience.
  • How can I stay connected after I apply?

Once you apply, we’ll keep you updated with important next steps, orientation details, and events for new families. You’ll receive access to our Admissions Welcome Series, invitations to connect with other parents, and resources to help you transition into the CCS community.
